Are Weakness and strength are part of the same God?

 


The Wise say that all manifestations in spiritual realm—both perceived "weak" and "strong" aspects—are seen as a manifestation of one absolute consciousness. Weakness makes us aware of our need for the divine; this longing leads to seeking, which in turn leads to receiving strength. Thus, weakness actually becomes the pathway to receiving strength.

1. Weakness as a Divine Invitation

Human weakness is often interpreted as a tool designed to break self-reliance and draw the soul toward dependency on God. Weakness is not necessarily a failure; rather, it is a "space" where divine strength can manifest. Human limitations (frailty, envy, frustration) are meant to train the practitioner and cultivate humility, allowing them to experience God's mercy.

2. Mental Strength as Divine Power

The strength to overcome weaknesses—perseverance, resilience, and wisdom—is seen as an activation of the Divinity within. God uses challenges to strengthen the spirit and shape character, rather than just removing the obstacle. Activating mental strength involves moving from "spiritual weakness" (being controlled by ego/senses) to "spiritual strength" (living in divine consciousness).

Rig Veda confirms this in esoteric manner, by stating रात्री - Rātrī and उषास् - Uṣás are sisters and immortal, having common bond.

Illusions, Weaknesses, vices are represented by रात्री - Rātrī or नक्त - Nakta -Darkness .

Strength, wisdom are represented by उषास् - Uṣás.

Rig Veda 1.113.2

रुशद्वत्सा रुशती श्वेत्यागादारैगु कृष्णा सदनान्यस्याः समानबन्धू अमृते अनूची द्यावा वर्णं चरत आमिनाने

ruśadvatsā ruśatī śvetyāgād āraig u kṛṣṇā sadanāny asyāḥ | samānabandhū amṛte anūcī dyāvā varṇaṃ carata āmināne ||

English translation:

Having a gleaming calf, herself gleaming white, she has come here. The black one [=Night] has left behind her seats for her.

Having the same (kin-)bonds, immortal, following one upon the other, the two, Day (and Night), keep exchanging their colour.

Rig Veda 1.113.3

समानो अध्वा स्वस्रोरनन्तस्तमन्यान्या चरतो देवशिष्टे मेथेते तस्थतुः सुमेके नक्तोषासा समनसा विरूपे

samāno adhvā svasror anantas tam anyānyā carato devaśiṣṭe | na methete na tasthatuḥ sumeke naktoṣāsā samanasā virūpe ||

English translation:

The road is the same for the two sisters unending. They proceed on it, one after the other, commanded by the gods. They do not oppose each other, nor do they stand still, though well grounded— Night and Dawn , of like mind but different form .
