Rigveda 10.86, commonly known as the Vṛṣākapi Hymn, is an enigmatic dialogue concerning a marital dispute between Indra (the king of gods) and his wife Indrani over a mysterious creature named Vṛṣākapi.
The hymn consists of 23 verses.
Indrani is furious because the people have stopped offering sacrifices to Indra, choosing instead to worship Vṛṣākapi. Furthermore, Vṛṣākapi has damaged her personal property and acted disrespectfully toward her. She demands that the beast be hunted and killed.
Indra defends Vṛṣākapi, calling him his "dear friend" or pet beast. He attempts to soothe Indrani’s anger by praising her unmatched beauty and status among women.
Vṛṣākapi attempts to appease Indrani with offerings, and by the end of the hymn, a reconciliation is reached. The creature is sent away to a remote region, and regular sacrifices to Indra are restored

Vṛṣākapi (Rigveda 10.86) may not indicate Shri Hanuman of Ramayana or any other Kapi or an ape.

(i) Vṛṣākapi
vṛṣa means virtue, "a" indicates not, kapi means to shake or agitate.
Hence, it indicates "an unshakable virtue (state of mind)".
Esoterically Indra indicates Illuminated/spiritually elevated mind, and Vṛṣākapi is stated to be a companion of Indra, thus the total concept boils down to the premise that Illumination can be experienced by a spiritual aspirant with unshakable MIND or the Mind that had overcome the desires which cannot be fully satisfied and which always come back.
(ii) Indra's wife Indrāṇī in Rigveda 10.86
Indrāṇī is initially jealous of Vṛṣākapi.
Esoterically, Indrāṇī represents the pre-existing weaknesses/desires the desires which cannot be fully satisfied and which always come back that are attached to the Mind.
During the spiritual practices, when the Mind has been withdrawn from desires, and when the Mind has become unshaken (Vṛṣākapi) so that Illumination in Mind (Indra triumphs) results, it quite but natural for the unsatiated desires/weakness to create ruckus within, which is mentioned esoterically as Indrāṇī expressing displeasure towards Vṛṣākapi.
