As far as SPIRITUAL concepts of Upanishads and Buddhism are concerned, we have remember that both Upanishads and Buddhism have The Rig Veda as their source. And, the concept of Advaita is one among those SPIRITUAL concepts that were taken Rig Veda.
The Gautama, the Buddha had stated the same thing, albeit in a different method, that the rishis of Rig Veda stated.

The concept of Advaita or whatever other name that others might have given to that concept, has roots in the Vedic word advaya - अद्वय, ie., that which has no second or free from duplicity or UNIQUE or the ultimate truth or BRAHMAN.
The Gautama, the Buddha acknowledged the existence of 3 vedas before him. Vatthugāthā of Sutta Nipāta
His age is a hundred and twenty years,
by clan he is a Bāvarī,
upon his body appear three signs,
Three Vedas he has mastered all.
—
In Rig Veda, BRAHMAN was addressed in different epithets, ie., AGNI, ADITI, INDRA, VISHU, etc.
In Rig Veda 3.2.15, AGNI was addressed as free of duplicity-advayāvinaṃ.
mandraṃ hotāraṃ śucim advayāvinaṃ damūnasam ukthyaṃ viśvacarṣaṇim | rathaṃ na citraṃ vapuṣāya darśatam manurhitaṃ sadam id rāya īmahe ||
——
In Rig Veda 8.18.6 , ADITI was addressed as free of duplicity - advayāḥ
aditir no divā paśum aditir naktam advayāḥ | aditiḥ pātv aṃhasaḥ sadāvṛdhā ||
