Why Rig Veda says Dakṣa was born from Aditi, and from Dakṣa Aditi is born?

This riddle can be understood, if one explores the esoteric meaning of the Vedic terminology.

Rig Veda 10.72.4

भूर्जज्ञ उत्तानपदो भुव आशा अजायन्त अदितेर्दक्षो अजायत दक्षाद्वदितिः परि
bhūr jajña uttānapado bhuva āśā ajāyanta | aditer dakṣo ajāyata dakṣād v aditiḥ pari ||

English translation:

The earth was born from the one whose feet were opened up; from the earth the regions of space were born. From Aditi, Dakṣa was born, and from Dakṣa, Aditi.

——

Aditi is pure consciousness of infinite existence one and self-luminous or undivided state of DIVINITY, while Diti indicates division, separation.

Daksha, the son of Aditi, is the discriminating and distributing thought of the divine Mind of the individual involved in spiritual practices.

The basic premise of spirituality is as follows:

  • Every individual will have a DIVINE light/ECSTASY/BRAHMAN hidden within oneself, though the individual may not be aware of it.
  • The emotional attachments/feelings, viz., love, jealousy, anger, avarice, etc, are hindrances in an individual, which will conceal the DIVINE LIGHT and will not allow one to experience the DIVINE LIGHT, ie., one is in the state of separation from the pure consciousness or overpowered by Diti.

The following is my understanding of the issue in question - Aditi, Dakṣa was born, and from Dakṣa, Aditi.

  • Mind is the one which attaches to or detaches from the emotional attachments/feelings.
  • Hence, as the Mind gets detached from emotional attachments/feelings due to spiritual practices, the strength of the MIND increases. In Rig Veda, the strengthened Mind is called INDRA. And, the elimination of attachments is called killing of Vr̥tra, in esoteric sense.
  • Mind, while gaining strength, also increases the power of discernment, ie., to understand what is right or good for spiritual practices- Following the path of TRUTH, getting rid of vices like Jealosy, EGO, avarice, etc.
  • This power of discernment takes place with the guidance of Aditi or pure consciousness. It was mentioned in Rig Veda, as the birth of Daksha from Aditi, in esoteric sense.
  • When the spiritual practice reaches its culminating point, the power of discernment - Daksha, aided by the strength of Mind (Indra) allows the individual to attain the BLISS or SELF REALISATION. This is called, in esoteric sense, as Dakṣa giving birth to Aditi.
